Look to Jesus

Bible Text: Numbers 21:4-9
Today's message is inspired by the story of the snake that Moses lifted in the wilderness and Jesus' teachings about Himself. Both illustrations provide a powerful reminder of the importance of looking to Jesus as the source of our salvation, strength, and sustenance. In the old testament, the venom of the poisonous snake kills the Israelites that refused to look to the bronze serpent and today the sting of sin kills any sinner that refuses to come to Jesus who hung on the cross at cavalry. The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death and the gift of God is eternal life." (Romans 6:23). As we explore these stories and consider their relevance to our lives, may we be inspired to fix our eyes on Jesus and follow Him wherever He leads.
